Sheep
Our lamb comes from the Hair Sheep breed raised 100% grass-fed on the ranch, supplemented only with Redmond Sea Salt and organic molasses lick-tubs. Hair sheep don't need to be shorn annually like the most common wool sheep breeds do, instead, they shed what growth they have come springtime on their own. The ewes have their lambs in May or June every spring and are grazed together for the next coming months until lamb harvest which is around October - November. Some of the lambs are kept for replacements as breeding ewes and some as rams.
