The Horses

Advanced or beginner, your guide will match you with your horse to ensure an enjoyable partnership. All rides begin with an introduction to support both you and your horse in a

trusting and respectful relationship.
 

Your Guide

My name is Dominique and I will be your primary guide.

I am one of four second generation daughters who grew up helping with our family ranch. Home schooled and two years of boarding school, education in permaculture, wilderness survival training and level one Parelli Natural Horsemanship; have given me a good foundation.

I have life long experience in handling horses and have spent a lot of time exploring the wilderness. I will guide you on unique open range and ranch tours.

I am fluent in English, German, Swiss German and I speak some French as well as being qualified to give first aid.

I welcome you to enjoy:

A drink from a clear spring, the smell of a horse, a colorful sunset, a fireweed flower or a bear�s track on the trail �

Accommodation and Dining

Tipis

Our tipis are furnished with wood floors, wood stove (depending on size of tipi), and wood frame beds. Bedding and organic bathroom necessities are provided. Ranch house bathrooms as well as an outhouse with a great view, and an outdoor shower with solar powered warm water, are all available.
 

Ranch House Rooms

Our Ranch house has three cozy guest rooms and a suite. Bedding and organic bathroom necessities are provided. The three guest rooms share one bathroom.

Dining

Your wholesome all organic and mostly home grown meals are served with ranch raised, grass finished meats. We have great barbeques!

Trips and Rates

Cowboy Range Ride and Ranch Tour $354.00 / day / person (CAN$)

Join us for a ride on the range and camp out one night in a tipi or beside the fire.

The Ranch Stay                                          $368.00 / day / person (CAN$)

Enjoy day rides in the surrounding Chilcotin River Valley.

Add to your four day Ranch experience two one day trips from the world famous Chilko Lake Lodge. (John Wayne used to ride there!)

At the Ranch:

Transportation from the Ranch to the Lodge is included.

Discover unseen forest and hidden rock cliffs with great views.

The Beaver Lake Tour

Enjoy an easy ride over hills and around a beaver inhabited lake beside the river. Chances to see wildlife are high!

Tours from the Lodge:

Mt. Tullin Tour

Ride up the north side of Tullin Mountain next to the lodge overlooking Chilko Lake. The views are simply exhilarating

Green Lake Tour

Journey alongside Chilko Lake beneath Tullin Mountain to a small, green lake and relax comfortably for lunch on the grassy meadow.

Chilko River Tour

Venture on timber trails, along the river and up onto a small peak to see the north end of the lake flowing into its river.

We also offer half day and full day riding tours alone, without accommodation. Please ask us for specifications and rates.

Extra Activities:

Raft the little Chilcotin River with our neighbour at an additional cost.
